NIS Graduates 62 Senior Officers, Reaffirms Commitment to Leadership Excellence

 

The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has reiterated its commitment to leadership development and institutional capacity building as 62 senior officers graduated from the 13th Command Course at the Immigration Command and Staff College (ICSC), Sokoto.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony, the Comptroller-General of Immigration, Kemi Nandap, represented by Assistant Comptroller-General in charge of Human Resource Management, S.U. Agba, charged the officers to uphold professionalism, integrity and excellence in leadership. The three-month intensive programme focused on strategic leadership, border security and migration management.

The Comptroller-General emphasized the need for a disciplined and technology-driven workforce capable of addressing emerging migration and border security challenges. She urged the graduates to justify the confidence reposed in them by demonstrating accountability, innovation and transformational leadership in the discharge of their duties.

Earlier, the Commandant of the Immigration Command and Staff College, Assistant Comptroller-General A.D. Bagari, congratulated the officers on the successful completion of the course and encouraged them to apply the knowledge and leadership skills acquired to enhance operational effectiveness and strengthen border management across the country.

The ceremony featured the conferment of the Pass Command Course (PCC) honour on the graduates, presentation of awards to outstanding participants, and decoration of Course Provosts with badges of honour. The event attracted dignitaries, including representatives of the Sultan of Sokoto, heads of security agencies and other guests, who commended the NIS for its sustained investment in leadership development and institutional excellence.
