ACCORD CONDEMNS FREEZING OF OSUN STATE GOVERNMENT ACCOUNTS.

The Accord Party has condemned the freezing of the Osun State Government accounts by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), describing the action as unlawful and coming days before the August 15 governorship election.

In a statement by its National Chairman, Maxwell Mgbudem, the party alleges that the move is intended to disrupt governance in the state and says it would challenge the action in court.

Accord Party is calling on President Bola Tinubu to ensure a free, fair and peaceful governorship election by directing security agencies to remain impartial and allow INEC to conduct the poll without interference.

The party also calls for the release of members and supporters it claimed were being detained and reaffirmed its support for Governor Ademola Adeleke ahead of the election.
