INEC PRESENTS CERTIFICATES OF RETURN TO ADELEKE, DEPUTY AFTER OSUN POLL VICTORY
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has presented Certificates of Return to Osun State Governor-elect, Senator Ademola Adeleke, and his deputy, Kola Adewusi, following their victory in the August 15, 2026 governorship election.
The certificates were presented at the INEC State Headquarters in Osogbo by the National Commissioner supervising Osun State, Professor Yinka Ajayi.
The presentation formally confirmed Adeleke as the Governor-elect and Adewusi as the Deputy Governor-elect of Osun State, paving the way for their inauguration for another term in office.
The event was attended by key stakeholders in the electoral process, including representatives of political parties, security agencies, civil society organisations, election observers and members of the media.
The presentation of the Certificates of Return marks the completion of a major electoral process following the conduct of the governorship election across the state.
