NCoS INTRODUCES UNIFIED TRAINING MANUAL AND COURSE BADGES
The Nigerian Correctional Service has unveiled its first-ever Unified Training Manual and standardized Course Badges for all its training institutions.

In a statement, the Service Public Relations Officer, Jane Osuji, indicates that the new manual replaces the 2019 edition and provides a common training framework reflecting contemporary correctional practices and professional demands.
The Service says the manual was developed internally by its personnel and covers command, commissioned officers, recruit, specialized and refresher courses.
The new Course Badges, covering various cadres from Controllers to Assistant Superintendents of Corrections, are professional distinctions earned through prescribed training and formally conferred by the Service’s training institutions.
Speaking at the unveiling, the Controller-General of Corrections, Sylvester Nwakuche, described the initiative as a major step towards strengthening professionalism, institutional identity and uniformity in personnel training.
The Nigerian Correctional Service says the initiative will promote consistent training and continuous professional development across the Service.
