OPERATION HADIN KAI FOILS TERRORIST INFILTRATION, ARRESTS SUSPECTED COLLABORATORS

Troops of Operation HADIN KAI have recorded major successes in ongoing counterterrorism operations across the North-East, foiling a terrorist infiltration attempt and arresting suspected logistics suppliers and collaborators linked to Boko Haram and ISWAP.

According to the Joint Task Force (North East), troops successfully repelled terrorists advancing towards the North East Theatre Training School in Buni Yadi, Yobe State, on June 9, 2026. Following coordinated fire missions, the troops neutralised the threat, recovered two terrorist corpses and seized a motorcycle.

In separate intelligence-led operations in Borno State, troops working with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) arrested three suspected terrorist logistics suppliers identified as Mallam Bako Ibrahim, Abu Aji and Musa Idi. Recovered items included wristwatches, a transistor radio, agro-allied chemicals and other materials allegedly intended for terrorist use.

The task force also arrested a 23-year-old suspect, Adams Shittima, in Damboa town while allegedly attempting to procure farm implements and mosquito nets for terrorist elements. Preliminary investigations indicated that the suspect provided logistics support and information to insurgents operating in the area.

Operation HADIN KAI said the arrests and recoveries are part of ongoing efforts to dismantle terrorist support networks, restrict insurgent activities and restore lasting peace in the North-East.

The military high command commended troops for their professionalism, vigilance and commitment, noting that sustained offensives continue to weaken terrorist networks and force insurgents to abandon their activities.
