Army appeals to victims of the alleged Uniosun attack to submit formal complaint.

The Depot Nigerian Army, Osogbo, says it has not received any formal complaint, medical report or credible evidence to substantiate allegations of rape allegedly involving some of its personnel against some students of Osun State University.

It therefore urged anyone with verifiable information, including alleged victims and eyewitnesses, to come forward and assist the ongoing investigation.

The Army says all evidence, including videos, photographs, medical records and witness statements, should be submitted confidentially to the Board of Inquiry at the Depot Nigerian Army Headquarters in Osogbo or through the Army Public Relations Office, assuring that the identities of those who come forward will be protected.

The Depot Nigerian Army further appealed to the media, the National Association of Nigerian Students, the management of Osun State University and the general public to refrain from spreading unverified information capable of prejudicing the investigation, while reaffirming its commitment to professionalism, the protection of students, respect for human rights and regular updates on the outcome of the probe.
