GOVERNOR SEYI MAKINDE ON DEMOCRACY DAY.
The Oyo State Government has reassured residents that efforts to secure the release of the pupils and teachers abducted from the Yawota and Ahoro-Esinle communities in Oriire Local Government Area is still ongoing.
Governor Seyi Makinde in a message to the citizens on democracy day disclosed that security reports indicate the victims are still within the wider Old Oyo National Park axis, a vast area spanning parts of ten local government areas in the state.
He urged residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities through the state’s toll-free emergency number, 615, while cautioning against the spread of unverified information that could undermine ongoing rescue efforts.
The governor also appealed to citizens to continue supporting security agencies and praying for the safe return of the abducted pupils and teachers.
