WOMEN AFFAIRS MINISTER TOURS MARYAM BABANGIDA CENTRE, PROMISES SYNERGY WITH NEW DG
The Minister of Women Affairs, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, has pledged to work closely with the Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of the Maryam Babangida National Centre for Women Development, Adedayo Benjamins-Laniyi, to transform the institution into an international hub for women empowerment and development.
The assurance came when the minister received the Director-General’s strategic transformation plan and conducted an inspection tour of facilities at the Centre, fifty days after the appointment of the new management.
During the visit, the minister reviewed ongoing programmes and assessed the state of infrastructure, expressing commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at repositioning the Centre for greater impact.
She noted that collaboration between the ministry and the Centre would be crucial in achieving the vision of renovating, modernising and expanding opportunities for women across the country.
The minister reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to strengthening institutions that promote women’s development, leadership and economic empowerment.
