FG INAUGURATES LEGAL AID COUNCIL
The Federal Government says it is making extra efforts towards ensuring that all classes of the
Nigerian society access substantial justice whenever they have legal disputes.
Inaugurating the new board of the Legal Aid Council led by Justice Sulaiman Kawu, Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi, SAN says recent innovations in law are being incorporated into pro bono legal practice in Nigeria.
The Council’s roles includes undertaking legal representation for people who are unable to afford a legal practitioner’s services
The Council also offers free or subsidized legal assistance to inmates in custody.
