OYO POLICE NAB 10 SUSPECTED HUMAN PARTS DEALERS, RECOVER HUMAN ORGANS
The Oyo State Police Command has arrested ten suspected human parts dealers in a major intelligence-led operation carried out across Iseyin and Saki areas of the state.

The suspects, identified as Adam Ibrahim, Nasiru Kabiru, Tijani Wasiu, Abiola Nasiru, Amusa Gbadamosi, Raheem Taofeek, Jimoh Muritala, Suleiman Busari, Ganiyu Nurudeen and Usman Abdullahi, were apprehended following months of intelligence gathering, surveillance and close monitoring of their activities by operatives of the Command Monitoring Unit.
According to a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ayanlade Olayinka, searches conducted at the suspects’ hideouts led to the recovery of suspected human parts and ritual items. Recovered exhibits include a suspected human heart, human flesh, pieces of human skull and assorted charms.
The police spokesperson disclosed that preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects allegedly engaged in the trade of human parts for ritual purposes. He added that the suspects are currently assisting investigators in efforts to uncover the source, procurement channels and intended use of the recovered items.
DSP Ayanlade Olayinka stated that investigations are ongoing to identify and apprehend other members of the criminal network linked to the illicit trade.
Reacting to the development, the Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Command, CP Abimbola Ayodeji Olugbenga, commended the operatives for their professionalism and dedication, noting that the successful operation reflects the Command’s commitment to intelligence-driven policing.
The Police Commissioner reassured residents of the state’s determination to rid Oyo of criminal elements and safeguard lives and property. He also urged members of the public to remain vigilant and continue to provide credible information that could assist security agencies in preventing and combating crime across the state.
