NPF ARRESTS, REPATRIATES CHADIAN FUGITIVE WANTED FOR MURDER

The Nigeria Police Force, through the INTERPOL National Central Bureau, Abuja, has arrested and repatriated a Chadian national, Mahadijiria Abdoulaye, wanted in connection with an alleged murder in N’Djamena.

A statement by the Force says Abdoulaye was wanted over the alleged torture and murder of Nazik Mahamat Saleh on May 3, 2026. An international arrest warrant was subsequently issued by the Court of Appeal in N’Djamena.

Following coordinated intelligence operations, INTERPOL NCB Abuja arrested Abdoulaye on August 5 at Railway Quarters, Nasarawa Local Government Area of Kano State. She was also allegedly linked to narcotics trafficking in Chad.

On August 14, she was repatriated to N’Djamena through Lomé, Togo, in collaboration with INTERPOL NCB N’Djamena, to face the judicial process.

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Disu, commended the operatives for their professionalism, saying the operation demonstrates the NPF’s commitment to ensuring that international borders do not become safe havens for fugitives and transnational criminals.
