Alausa Hails Rescue of Abducted Oyo Students
Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa, lauds President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the successful rescue of pupils and teachers abducted from Oriire community in Ogbomoso, Oyo State.
He describes the operation as a clear demonstration of Federal Government’s commitment to the safety, security and wellbeing of Nigerian children.
Dr. Alausa also commends Oyo State government, and security agencies involved in the operation, praising their collaboration, professionalism and sacrifice, which led to the safe rescue of the victims and the arrest of some perpetrators without harm to the abducted pupils and teachers.
While expressing sympathy to the victims and their families for the trauma they endured, the Minister prays for their speedy recovery and reaffirms Federal Ministry of Education’s commitment to strengthening school safety nationwide. He urges communities, parents, school authorities and other stakeholders to remain vigilant and support efforts to keep schools safe in line with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
