The Federal Government has commenced the construction of an ultra-modern National Control Centre for the Nigerian Independent System Operator, NISO, in Osogbo, Osun State.

Upon completion the centre will deploy integrated SCADA, large-format displays and analytics to assist operators detect developing faults, plan preventive maintenance and optimise existing generation and transmission capacity.
It will also improve response to system disturbances, support renewable energy integration, strengthen Nigeria’s coordination within the West African Power Pool and enhance physical and cyber security.
