FG condoles Japan over Magnitude 7.1 Earthquake in Kumamoto
The Federal Government has commiserated with the Government and people of Japan following a powerful magnitude 7.1 earthquake that struck Kumamoto Prefecture in southern Japan.
In a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued on behalf of President Bola Tinubu, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, extended heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their lives, the injured, and all those affected.
The Nigerian Government reaffirmed the strong bonds of friendship and cooperation that exist between the two countries and prayed for the swift recovery of the injured, the safety of those still unaccounted for, and the resilience of the people of Kumamoto and the wider Kyushu region as they rebuild.
