FRSC RECOVERS STOLEN VEHICLE, HANDS SUSPECT TO POLICE
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has recovered a vehicle reported stolen in Edo State during a routine patrol operation by personnel of the Iruekpen Unit Command.
According to a statement signed by the Corps Public Education Officer, Osondu Ohaeri, the recovery was made on Sunday, June 14, 2026, following a distress report concerning a gold-coloured Toyota Camry with registration number RBC 987 CM, allegedly stolen from a church premises in Benin City.
The statement said FRSC patrol operatives swiftly tracked and intercepted the vehicle, leading to its recovery.
The suspect found in possession of the vehicle claimed to be a delivery agent but was subsequently handed over to the Nigeria Police Force for further investigation.
FRSC said the recovery highlights the importance of inter-agency collaboration and vigilance in combating crime and enhancing public safety.
