IGP MEETS CSO’s ON OSUN GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION
AOC: With concerns over rising political violence ahead of the Osun State governorship election, the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, has assured residents of adequate security before, during and after the poll.
Speaking at a stakeholder engagement with Civil Society Organisations on election security, the IGP said the Police would deploy a robust security architecture to protect voters, electoral officials and other stakeholders.
The CSO’S therefore urged security agencies to remain neutral, resist political interference and treat all candidates and political actors fairly.
