Nigeria Beats OPEC Quota, Boosts Investor Confidence.
Nigeria’s crude oil production has hit a 74-month high , the country’s best output since April 2020.
According to the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission, NUPRC, production averaged 1.735 million barrels per day in June — meeting 104% of Nigeria’s OPEC quota, and marking four straight months of growth.
At its peak, output touched 1.89 million barrels daily, putting the 2-million-barrel mark within reach.
NUPRC credits the gains to stable operations and minimal pipeline disruptions across producing assets.
Bonny Terminal led production, followed by Forcados, Escravos, and Bonga.
Officials say the trend reflects growing confidence in Nigeria’s oil sector.
