OGUN POLICE DEPLOY MAXIMUM OPERATIONAL STRENGTH TO SAGAMU–BENIN EXPRESSWAY; PUBLIC URGED TO REMAIN CALM

 

The Ogun State Police Command wishes to reassure members of the public following reports of a security incident around the J3 area of the Sagamu–Benin Expressway on Thursday, June 25, 2026. Upon receiving a distress report, police operatives responded immediately and swiftly activated a coordinated security operation.

 

On the directive of the Commissioner of Police, CP Bode Ojajuni, psc, FCSS, MNIPR, the Command deployed four (4) units of Police Mobile Force (PMF) personnel, operatives of the Anti-Kidnapping Unit, and other tactical teams to the area. An intensive bush-combing exercise is ongoing, with the deployed operatives making significant operational progress in tracking the fleeing suspects, dominating the area, and ensuring the safety of commuters and inhabitants of the corridor.

 

The Command wishes to state that there is no cause for alarm. All necessary security measures have been put in place to ensure public safety.
