Oyo Govt extends curfew in 10 local government areas by 24 hours.
Oyo State governor, Seyi Makinde, has approved the extension of the curfew imposed on 10 local government areas bordering the Old Oyo National Park by 24 hours.
Recall that Oyo State Government had announced the 4.00pm to 8.00am curfew in the 10 local government areas on June 23, 2026.
In a memo issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Musibau Babatunde, with this extension, the curfew, which was to last for 48 hours in the first instance, will continue till Saturday, June 27, 2026.
The affected local government areas are:
1. Oriire with Headquarters in Ikoyi-Ile.
2. Orelope with Headquarters in Igboho
3. Irepo with Headquarters in Kisi
4. Saki West Headquarters in Saki, also
5. Saki East with Headquarters in Ago-Amodu.
6. Atisbo with Headquarters in Tede / Ago-Are.
7. Itesiwaju with Headquarters in Otu.
8. Iseyin , Headquarters in Iseyin
9. Olorunsogo with Headquarters in Igbeti.
10. And Atiba Headquarters in Offa-Meta, Oyo.
