SENATE LEADER, BAMIDELE, MOURNS PA FASORANTI
The Leader of the Senate, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, says Nigeria has lost a patriot par excellence with the passing of Afenifere Leader, Pa Reuben Fasoranti.
In a condolence message, Senator Bamidele described the late centenarian as a statesman of uncommon integrity who placed national interest above personal considerations.
He said Pa Fasoranti, as one of the last surviving Awoists, was a vital bridge between the First and Fourth Republics and custodian of Chief Obafemi Awolowo’s progressive ideals.
Senator Bamidele extended condolences to the Fasoranti family, the people of Ondo State, and the Yoruba nation.
