SNB  Celebrates Oba Akande , Hails Contributions to Broadcasting and Ibadanland

The Oyo State Chapter of the Society of Nigerian Broadcasters (SNB) has congratulated Oba Murtala Adebayo Akande, the Ekerin Olubadan of Ibadanland, on the occasion of his birthday, describing him as a distinguished royal father, accomplished media icon and exceptional leader.

In a goodwill message signed by the Executive Committee, Elders and members of the association, the broadcasters praised the monarch for his outstanding contributions to the development of broadcasting in Nigeria and his enduring service to humanity.

The association noted that Oba Akande, who is Chairman and Proprietor of Splash FM and Lagelu FM, has played a significant role in shaping the nation’s media landscape and mentoring generations of broadcasting professionals.

According to the SNB, the royal father has continued to demonstrate wisdom, humility, integrity and visionary leadership as a custodian of the rich cultural heritage of Ibadanland. The association also commended his commitment to peace, community development and the preservation of traditional institutions.

The broadcasters prayed for God’s continued blessings upon the monarch, wishing him good health, divine wisdom, peace and many more years of fruitful service to Ibadanland and humanity. They further expressed hope that his reign would continue to witness remarkable achievements, prosperity and divine favour.

The congratulatory message was jointly issued by the Executive Committee, Elders and entire membership of the Society of Nigerian Broadcasters, Oyo State Chapter, in celebration of the monarch’s birthday.
