Speaker Abbas Congratulates Adeleke, says Democracy will thrive
Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen, has congratulated Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, on his re-election.
Abbas described the outcome of the election as evidence of President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to democratic principles.
The Speaker said the victory of the Accord Party candidate demonstrated that the Tinubu administration had created an environment for political parties to test their popularity through elections.
Speaker Abbas urged Governor Adeleke to justify the mandate given to him by the people of Osun State by delivering the dividends of democracy.
He also commended the other candidates who participated in the election, saying their participation in the electoral process had contributed to the development of Nigeria’s democracy.
