TINUBU MOURNS FORMER ASO VILLA CHAPLAIN, REV. WILLIAM OKOYE

President Bola Tinubu has expressed sadness over the death of the Founder and General Overseer of All Christians Fellowship Mission (ACFM) and former Chaplain of Aso Villa Chapel, Rev. Dr. William Okoye.

In a statement, President Tinubu extended his condolences to the family, friends and associates of the late cleric, describing him as a man of deep faith, integrity and service whose contributions to the Christian community and national development would be remembered.

The President noted that Rev. Okoye, who served as Chaplain of Aso Villa Chapel during the administrations of former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan, played a significant role in the spiritual growth and welfare of Christians under his pastoral care.

According to the President, “As a cleric who held several important positions in Christian organisations in Nigeria, Rev Okoye earned the trust and admiration of his followers and the nation beyond the pulpit. He was a strong advocate for unity, patriotism and national development.

“From his service as a member of the Presidential Advisory Council on Youth Affairs, the National Political Reform Conference and the Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission, Rev. Okoye dedicated himself to building a better society.”

President Tinubu prayed for the peaceful repose of the soul of the departed cleric and asked God to grant comfort and strength to his family, members of the All Christians Fellowship Mission and all those grieving his passing.
