TINUBU PRESENTS CERTIFICATE OF RETURN TO SHETTIMA
President Bola Tinubu has officially presented the Certificate of Return to Vice President Kashim Shettima as his running mate for the 2027 presidential election.
The presentation took place at the State House in Abuja on Thursday evening.
President Tinubu emerged as the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate after winning the party’s primary election held on May 23, defeating his sole challenger, Stanley Osifo.
He received his Certificate of Return as the party’s flag bearer on May 24 in Abuja.
The APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, had on Wednesday presented the certificate to President Tinubu for onward presentation to Vice President Shettima.
Also on Thursday, Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, visited President Tinubu to express appreciation for retaining Vice President Shettima as his running mate for the 2027 election.
