The Deeper Christian Life Ministry on Thursday unveiled plans for the Global Crusade with Kumuyi (GCK) in Ota, surbub of Lagos State, announcing free medical, surgical and humanitarian outreaches as part of activities for the August Edition of the global programme.
Pastor Joseph Fasanmi, the Deeper Life Bible Church (DLBC) State Overseer, Ogun West, at a news conference on Thursday said the missions would precede the crusade scheduled for Aug. 26 to Aug. 30 at Anglican Church Grammar School, Abebi, Ota.

Fasanmi said the crusade, which would begin at 5 p.m. daily, was being jointly hosted by the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Ogun West Chapters.
He said the theme of the five-day crusade was “Total Transformation Through Christ”, describing it as an opportunity for hope, renewal and transformation in Ogun West.
“Today, we are not merely announcing another event. We are unveiling an opportunity—an opportunity for hope, renewal and transformation,” Fasanmi said.
He said the crusade would seek to address the spiritual, moral and social needs of residents, particularly at a time families, youths and communities were confronted with various challenges.
“The greatest transformation any society can experience is the transformation of its people.
“When the heart changes, homes change. When homes change, communities change. When communities change, nations change.
“That is why this crusade is not merely a religious gathering; it is a movement of hope, moral renewal and spiritual awakening,” Fasanmi added.
He said that the General Superintendent of DCLM and Convener of GCK, Pastor William Kumuyi, had through more than five decades of ministry impacted millions of lives across continents.
Fasanmi said Ogun West, comprising Ado-Odo/Ota, Yewa South, Yewa North, Ipokia and Imeko-Afon Local Government Areas, would be the next destination of the crusade that had been held in many states, countries and continents reaching over 50 million people.
“We believe God will touch lives. We believe families will be restored. We believe young people will discover purpose. We believe communities will experience fresh hope.
“We believe that what has been impossible with men shall become possible with God.
“This crusade is open to every person. Whether you are Christian or not, whether you are rich or poor, whether you are educated or not, whether you are young or old, you are welcome,” Fasanmi said.
He said the crusade would also feature the All Believers’ Conference, themed “Perfect Deliverance in a Shifting World”, on Aug. 27 and Aug. 28 at Christian Pentecostal Mission, Ota.
According to him, the conference would begin at 7:30 a.m. daily and was designed to strengthen believers for victorious Christian living.
He said the Impact Academy for Youth, themed “Transformed to Break Limits”, would also hold at 7:30 a.m. at the crusade venue.
Fasanmi said the youth programme was designed to equip young people with values and principles to help them overcome limitations and fulfil their potential.
Speaking on GCK Medical Missions and Prison Outreach, Dr Olalekan Sokan, said the crusade would feature a series of free medical and humanitarian interventions for residents.
Sokan said a Maternal and Child Health Outreach would hold on Aug. 23 at Landmark Executive Multipurpose Hall, 28 Iyana Joju Road, Ota.
He said other medical outreaches would take place on Aug. 24 at St. Michael Junior School, Ota, and Aug. 25 at Deeper Life Regional Headquarters, Ntabo, Ijoko, Ota.
“These would include free general surgeries, free gynaecological, ophthalmological and dental consultations, care and treatments as well as outreach to inmates in prison,” Sokan said.
He said free surgical outreaches would also be conducted on Aug. 24 and Aug. 25 at State Hospital, Ota, and General Hospital, Idiroko, Ipokia Local Government Area by qualified medical specialists.
According to him, the procedures would include general, gynaecological and ophthalmic surgeries, depending on the location.
Sokan said prospective beneficiaries of the surgical programme were expected to undergo pre-surgical screening from Aug. 12 to Aug. 14, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. daily.
He listed the screening centres as Anglican Church Grammar School, Ota, and Gateway African Church, Ikolaje, Idiroko, near the Oniko Palace.
Sokan said a prison outreach would also be conducted on Aug. 24 and Aug. 25 across correctional facilities in the area.
He said the programme would provide spiritual encouragement, humanitarian assistance and messages of hope to inmates.
Speaking further, Fasanmi said the various interventions were intended to demonstrate that the ministry’s mission went beyond preaching to include practical efforts to improve the wellbeing of the people.
“These initiatives reflect the compassionate ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ, who ministered not only to the spiritual needs of people but also to their physical, emotional and social well-being,” Fasanmi said.
He appealed to the media to ensure that residents were adequately informed about the crusade and its medical and humanitarian programmes.
He also called on traditional rulers, government officials, captains of industry, educational institutions, market associations, transport unions, artisans, youth organisations, women’s groups and community leaders to support mobilisation for the crusade.
Fasanmi assured residents that necessary arrangements were being made to ensure a peaceful, orderly and secure event without any breach
He appreciated government agencies, security institutions, health personnel, volunteers and other stakeholders for their contributions toward the success of the programme.
The overseer urged residents of Ogun West to attend the crusade with their families, neighbours and friends, irrespective of their religious, social or political backgrounds.
“Do not come alone. Bring your family. Bring your neighbours. Bring your colleagues. Bring those who have lost hope. Bring those carrying burdens. Bring the sick. Bring the elderly. Bring the young. Bring everyone,” he said.
“Come with expectation. Come with faith. Come believing that tomorrow can indeed become better than yesterday,” Fasanmi said.
He said a transformed life remained the greatest miracle a society could witness, stressing that transformed people constituted a strong foundation for national development.
Pastor Ayo Afolabi, the DLBC South West Coordinating Overseer, said that GCK remained a passion in the heart of the convener to reach out to people in distress and difficulties.
The Ogun West GCK Chairman, Pastor Gbadura Saka, who urged people to come only with faith for a turnaround in their situations, said miracles had started happening during publicity ahead of the crusades.
In their separate brief remarks, Rev’d Mobolaji Sodiya, the PFN Deputy Regional Coordinator, Awori Region 1 and Rev’d Adewale Francis, the Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Agbado Area said the bodies were fully in support of the crusade and the missions.
The event was attended by several stakeholders and leaders of thoughts and faith.
