The Old Students Association of Holy Trinity Grammar School, Old Ife Road, Ibadan, has concluded plans to celebrate the 60th anniversary of their alma mater with a three-day programme of events.
The celebration, which will run from Friday, Sept. 25 to Sunday, Sept. 27, 2026, is expected to attract old students from different sets, current students, staff, parents and friends of the school.

This was contained in a press release issued on Wednesday in Ibadan and signed by the National President of the association, Aare Adesina Adegoke.
According to the statement, the anniversary is designed to celebrate the school’s 60-year journey of academic excellence, character moulding and contributions to national development.
The programme will commence on Friday, Sept. 25, with a Jumat service to offer prayers for the continued growth of the school and the well-being of its students and alumni.
The Jumat service will be followed by an interactive session between old students, staff and current students at the school premises, aimed at mentoring the younger generation and sharing experiences.
The opening day will also feature a novelty football match involving old students and current students, to foster unity and rekindle old memories.
On Saturday, Sept. 26, the celebration will continue with an anniversary lecture to be delivered by Hon. Justice Matthias Olusegun Agboola, an eminent jurist and old student of the school.
Immediately after the lecture, the association will hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Bashmol Events Center, Ibadan, where matters relating to the development of the school and welfare of members will be deliberated upon.
The day will climax with a reception for all guests at the school premises, where old students will have the opportunity to reunite, network and celebrate their alma mater.
The three-day event will be brought to a close on Sunday, Sept. 27, with a thanksgiving service at CAC Agbala Itura, near the school, to return gratitude to God for sustaining the school for six decades.
In the statement, Aare Adegoke said the anniversary is a significant milestone worthy of celebration. “Sixty years is an occasion to honour those who built this school, celebrate the generations it has shaped, and strengthen our support for the students who will carry its legacy forward,” he said.
He enjoined all old students, both at home and in the diaspora, as well as well-wishers, to participate actively in the celebration and contribute to the continued upliftment of the school.
