HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES LOSES MEMBER – YAYA BAUCHI TONGO FROM GOMBE STATE

Member representing Gombe/Kwami/Funakaye Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Yaya Bauchi Tongo is dead.

‎House spokesman, Akin Rotimi, in a statement said the lawmaker from Gombe State died in Abuja on Friday after an illness.

‎Late Tongo was serving his first term in the Green Chamber and was Chairman of the Nigeria–United Arab Emirates Parliamentary Friendship Group in the House of Representatives.

‎Speaker of the House, Abbas Tajudeen expresses deep sorrow over the loss, describing Tongo as a dedicated legislator and grassroots politician with enormous contributions to governance and constituency development.

‎The House extends condolences to the family of the late lawmaker, his constituents, as well as the Government and people of Gombe State.
