IGP CALLS FOR STRONGER INTELLIGENCE SHARING TO TACKLE CRIMINALITY IN NIGERIA

The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, has called for strengthened intelligence gathering, improved operational strategies, and enhanced synergy among security agencies as key measures to effectively tackle criminality in Nigeria.

He made the submission during an interface with heads of security formations and stakeholders held in Makurdi, the Benue State capital.

The IGP was represented at the meeting by the Deputy Inspector-General of Police in charge of Training and Development, Mohammed Ishaq.

The engagement focused on improving coordination and ensuring timely sharing of intelligence among security agencies and relevant stakeholders in addressing emerging security challenges across the country.
