INCLUSIVE SECURITY:IGP PLEDGES GREATER PROTECTION, PARTICIPATION FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES

The push for a more inclusive security system is gaining momentum, as the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, hosts a delegation from TAF Africa at the Force Headquarters, Abuja.

Led by the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of TAF Africa, Dr. Jake Epelle, the delegation called for deliberate policies that will ensure Persons Living with Disabilities are not left behind in policing and security planning.

Dr Epelle sought the IGP’s support for the first Inclusive Security Summit, to be funded by the European Union, as part of efforts to build a security architecture that responds to the needs of all citizens.

IGP Disu assured the delegation that the Police will take deliberate steps to protect Persons Living with Disabilities and ensure their unhindered participation in the forthcoming general elections.
