NIGER STATE POLICE COMMAND KILLED THREE KIDNAPPERS:
The Niger State Police Command says two abducted victims have been rescued while three suspected kidnappers were killed during a rescue operation in Wawa Forest, following a report of abduction from Wako Village in New-Bussa.
The Command says its surveillance team, in collaboration with vigilantes, engaged the guysuspected kidnappers in a gun battle on September 11, 2026, leading to the rescue of the victims unhurt, while other suspects escaped with bullet injuries..
In a related development, the Police arrested two suspects for alleged theft and fraud, recovered stolen items including a mattress, standing fan, six-kilogramme gas cylinder and an air conditioner from the residence of one Yusuf Musa in Maitumbi. Another suspect, Yahuza Bature, was arrested in Minna with a motorcycle allegedly stolen from a victim after collecting eight hundred thousand naira under false pretence to supply gold items.
The Command also arrested two suspects over the alleged theft of cattle in Suleja and recovered three cows. Police said efforts are ongoing to apprehend other suspects linked to the case
