NIGERIAN CORRECTIONAL SERVICE, NTA STRENGTHEN MEDIA PARTNERSHIP
The Nigeria Correctional Service has reaffirmed commitment towards leveraging the Nigerian Television Authority to strengthen public awareness on its reforms, rehabilitation programmes across the country
This was during a courtesy visit by the Public Relations Officer of the Service Jane Osuji and her entourage on the management of the NTA where she emphasized the important role the NTA plays in promoting accurate and balanced reportage and of particular mentioned was the effort aimed at inmate rehabilitation, vocational training, decongestion initiatives and the successful reintegration of inmates into society.
The public relations officer Jane Osuji noted that strategic media partnerships would assist to dispel misconceptions about correctional facilities and boost public confidence in the Service.
The Nigerian Television Authority commended the Nigerian Correctional Service for its reforms and assured the delegation of the Authority’s readiness to provide professional and responsible coverage of programmes that will promote national development
