ARMY, NSCDC RENEW SECURITY PARTNERSHIP IN ZAMFARA
The Nigerian Army, 1 Brigade, and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Zamfara Command, have renewed their partnership to strengthen security operations in the state.
The NSCDC Public Relations Officer, Umar Mohammad, disclosed this in a statement following a courtesy visit of the newly posted Commander, 1 Brigade, Colonel J. Umaru, to the Corps’ headquarters in Gusau.
According to the statement, Colonel Umaru said the visit was aimed at strengthening the existing relationship between the two agencies through sustained collaboration, intelligence sharing and operational synergy.
The NSCDC Zamfara State Commandant, Sani Mustapha, appreciated the gesture and reaffirmed the Corps’ commitment to continuous partnership with the Nigerian Army and other security agencies in the fight against insecurity.
He stressed the need for security agencies to collaborate and complement one another in national security assignments.
The two agencies exchanged plaques to symbolise the renewed partnership and commitment to strengthening security cooperation in Zamfara State.
