PENGASSAN ELECTS BOSUN OLABIYI-AGORO AS NEW PRESIDENT
Comrade Bosun Olabiyi-Agoro has emerged as the new President of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN).
Olabiyi-Agoro was elected alongside other members of the association’s National Executive Council during the National Delegates Conference held in Abuja.
The election process was largely conducted through consensus, except for the position of National Auditor One, which was contested by Comrades Rex Orji and Ese Okusi.
At the conclusion of voting, Rex Orji secured 254 votes to defeat Ese Okusi, who garnered 84 votes, emerging as National Auditor One.
The newly elected PENGASSAN President succeeds Comrade Festus Osifo, who completed his second and final term in office.
Speaking after the election, the new leadership pledged to consolidate the association’s efforts in promoting the welfare of workers in the oil and gas sector while protecting members’ interests amid ongoing developments in Nigeria’s petroleum industry.
The leadership also reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening PENGASSAN’s role as a leading voice in labour advocacy and industry reforms.
