SOUTH AFRICA EVACUATION: FG BREAKS SILENCE ON FOURTH FLIGHT DELAY
The Federal Government has announced that the evacuation flight, scheduled to airlift 270 Nigerian returnees, could not depart due to the discovery of cracks on the windscreen of the aircraft’s cockpit.
A statement by the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Kimibie Ebienfa says Air Peace has assured that another aircraft will be deployed to South Africa later today to airlift the returnees.
The statement extended apologies to all affected families for the inconvenience caused by this unforeseen technical issue and assured of providing further updates as the situation develops.
