US AIR FORCE DELIVERS MILITARY EQUIPMENT TO NIGERIAN AIR FORCE
A United States Air Force C-17 Globemaster III aircraft has delivered military equipment to the Nigerian Air Force in Lagos and Kainji as part of an ongoing Foreign Military Sales agreement between Nigeria and the United States.
The delivery was confirmed by the United States Africa Command (AFRICOM), which described the development as a demonstration of the growing defence partnership between both countries.

In a statement posted on its official X platform, AFRICOM said the equipment forms part of a military sales agreement aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s capacity to combat terrorism and enhance regional security.
According to AFRICOM, the delivery will support Nigerian-led counterterrorism operations and contribute to ongoing efforts to address security challenges in the region.

The command also stressed that U.S. military assistance to the Armed Forces of Nigeria is provided at the invitation of the Nigerian government and is based on respect for Nigeria’s sovereignty and national priorities.
