ZURU BYE-ELECTION: INEC MOVES SENSITIVE MATERIALS , ASSURES CREDIBLE POLL

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Kebbi State has distributed sensitive materials ahead of the June 20 Zuru State Constituency bye-election as part of final preparations for the exercise.
The materials, which include ballot papers and result sheets, were on Thursday handed over to the Electoral Officer for Zuru Local Government Area for onward distribution to Supervisory Presiding Officers.
Speaking at the INEC State Headquarters in Birnin Kebbi during the exercise, the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Abubakar Sarkin Fawa Dambo, called on political parties, security agencies, civil society organisations, and other stakeholders to collaborate in ensuring a free, fair, and credible bye-election.
A total of 109,392 ballot papers were distributed, alongside 200 EC8A forms, 10 EC8B forms, one EC8C form, and one EC8E form for use during the election.
The Commission expressed optimism that the arrangements put in place would ensure the smooth and successful conduct of the bye-election scheduled for Saturday, June 20.
