ADELEKE CONDEMNS CULT-RELATED KILLING, SEEKS SWIFT JUSTICE
Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has condemned the recent suspected cult-related killing in Osogbo, describing the incident and the violence that followed as unacceptable and a threat to public peace.
In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, the Governor called on security agencies to intensify efforts to restore order, investigate the incident thoroughly and ensure that those responsible are brought to justice.
Governor Adeleke warned against any resurgence of cult-related violence in the state capital, noting that such acts should not be allowed to further complicate the security situation in Osun State, especially in the aftermath of recent political disturbances.
He stressed the need for prompt action by law enforcement agencies to prevent further escalation and reassure residents of their safety.
The Governor also appealed to residents of Osogbo and other parts of the state to remain calm, law-abiding and cooperate with security agencies in their efforts to maintain peace and security.
