FG Disburses ₦38.93bn to 166 Tertiary Institutions

The Federal Government has disbursed 38.93 billion naira to 166 public tertiary institutions nationwide under the Needs Assessment Revitalisation Fund.

The breakdown shows 28.5 billion naira for 79 universities, 5.8 billion for 46 polytechnics, and 4.7 billion for 41 colleges of education.

In a statement signed by the Head of Media, Federal Ministry of Finance, Efe Ovuakporie, the intervention is designed to tackle critical infrastructure deficits and improve teaching and learning facilities nationwide in line with the Memorandum of Understanding with the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU.

The Ministry notes that the funds will enable beneficiary institutions to commence or advance approved projects, with the overall objective of improving educational infrastructure and institutional capacity.
