Northern Youths Hail Tinubu, Umahi Over Road Infrastructure Drive
The Northern Youth Association of Nigeria has commended the Federal Government for what it described as massive road infrastructure development across the country, praising ongoing efforts to improve transportation networks and stimulate economic growth.
In a statement issued by its President, Godiya Adams Bogoro, the association also lauded the Minister of Works, David Umahi, for his leadership in the execution of critical road projects nationwide.
The group noted that several key infrastructure projects have recorded accelerated progress and improved quality standards under the current administration. It specifically highlighted the rehabilitation and expansion of major federal highways, including the Abuja–Kaduna–Zaria–Kano Road, the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway, the Second Niger Bridge access roads, and intervention works on the East–West Road.
According to the association, these projects have significantly enhanced connectivity across the country, boosted economic activities, improved security, and eased the movement of people, goods and services.
The statement further commended the introduction of innovative construction methods, particularly the use of reinforced concrete pavement technology on selected major roads, describing it as a strategic initiative that guarantees durability and long-term value for public investments.
The association also passed a vote of confidence in the Works Minister, citing his proactive engagement with stakeholders, commitment to transparency in project execution, and firm stance against substandard work.
Reaffirming its support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, the Northern Youth Association of Nigeria expressed optimism that ongoing infrastructure projects would continue to drive national development and improve the living conditions of Nigerians.
