OGUN GOVERNMENT MOURNS VETERAN ACTOR TAIWO HASSAN (OGOGO)

The Ogun State Government has expressed deep sorrow over the death of veteran Nollywood actor and cultural icon, Alhaji Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo.

In a condolence message, the government described the actor’s passing as a painful and irreplaceable loss to his family, the people of Ilaro and Yewaland, Ogun State, as well as the entire Nigerian entertainment industry.

The government noted that Ogogo was a distinguished cultural ambassador whose outstanding contributions to the growth of the Nigerian film industry brought joy to millions of viewers and helped preserve and promote Yoruba culture and values.

According to the statement, the late actor’s remarkable legacy and enduring impact on the entertainment sector will continue to inspire future generations.
The Ogun State Government commiserated with the family of the deceased, the people of Ilaro and Yewaland, and members of the entertainment industry over the loss.

It prayed that Almighty Allah forgives the shortcomings of the late actor, grants him Al-Jannah Firdaus, and gives his family, friends and admirers the strength to bear the painful loss.
