THE STORY OF AGBARA NLA IS NOT COMPLETE WITHOUT KAYODE OYEBODE (Kay Technical)…. Mike Bamiloye

BRO. Kayode Oyebode (Kay Technical) was the man the Lord used to introduced Mount Zion into film productions in 1989, with the production of Mount Zion’s first movie “THE UNPROFITABLE SERVANT” in 1989.

Before this time, we have tried on two major occasions to venture into Movie productions but failed because of our lack of proper direction and mentoring. But in 1989, we met with Mr Kayode Oyebode in Ikole Ekiti during one of our drama outreaches and he offered to help and guide us. So he helped us as the Cameraman and Technical Director of the first movie project. He practically gave the technical lead and we were just following him.

When the film was broadcast on NTA Tejuoso, Ikeja during the Easter of 1990, we were highly encouraged to embark on the second project immediately. He handled the camera and directed our second production: “BEGINNING OF THE END” (1990) and the Yoruba Version “IBERE OPIN AYE” which Mr Kayode Oyebode helped us take to the Cinema in the Christmas Season of 1990 at D’Rovans Hotel, Ring Road Ibadan and K.S.Motel Total Garden. And that happened to be the first Nigerian Christian movie to enter the Cinema at the time the Yoruba Cinema movies were making waves.
