Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu commends the selfless service of humanitarian workers

Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu commends the courage, dedication, and selfless service of humanitarian workers who bring hope and relief to people affected by conflict, disasters, and other emergencies.

This is in her message marking 2026 World Humanitarian Day, with the theme,

“Strengthening Global Solidarity and Empowering Local Communities”.

She says the theme is a reminder that lasting humanitarian action depends on protecting aid workers, strengthening global solidarity, and empowering local communities to lead sustainable responses to crises, while urging Nigerians to

always stand together in compassion, uphold the dignity of every human life, and support those who work tirelessly to serve the vulnerable.
