HAJJ 2026: OYO WELFARE BOARD CONCLUDES AIRLIFT OF PILGRIMS
The Oyo State Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Board has successfully concluded the airlift of all 2026 Hajj pilgrims back to Nigeria from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The final batch of 84 pilgrims, led by the Chairman of the Board, Sheikh Abdul-Wahab Atere, departed the King Abdulaziz International Airport, Jeddah, and arrived in Nigeria via Air Peace at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.
On arrival, the pilgrims received their luggage and Zamzam water in an orderly manner, expressing joy and gratitude to Almighty Allah for a safe and successful pilgrimage exercise.
Chairman of the Board, Sheikh Abdul-Wahab Atere, expressed appreciation to Allah for the smooth completion of the 2026 Hajj operations and the safe return of all pilgrims to the state.
He also commended Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, for his consistent support to the Board, which he said contributed significantly to the success of the exercise.
Sheikh Atere congratulated the pilgrims for being privileged to perform the holy pilgrimage and urged them to uphold the spiritual lessons of Hajj in their daily lives, including discipline, patience, and devotion to God.

The Board reaffirmed its commitment to improving future Hajj operations and ensuring continued welfare support for pilgrims from Oyo State.
