AIG KWAIMOH VISITS GOMBE POLICE COMMAND, CHARGES OFFICERS ON PROFESSIONALISM

The Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 12 Headquarters, Bauchi, AIG Vungmoh S.M. Kwaimoh, has paid a familiarisation and operational visit to the Gombe State Police Command as part of efforts to strengthen policing and enhance operational efficiency within the zone.

The AIG was received at the Command Headquarters by the Commissioner of Police, Gombe State Command, CP Umar Ahmed Chuso, alongside members of the management team, Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, tactical commanders and other senior officers.

The visit forms part of the AIG’s ongoing engagement with commands under Zone 12 to assess operational readiness, strengthen supervision, evaluate policing strategies and improve security operations in Bauchi and Gombe States.

It also provided an opportunity for direct interaction with officers and men of the Command aimed at enhancing professionalism and service delivery.

Addressing officers during the visit, AIG Kwaimoh stressed the importance of discipline, integrity, professionalism and dedication to duty.

He urged personnel of the Command to carry out their responsibilities with fairness, respect for human rights and strict adherence to the rule of law while maintaining cordial relationships with members of the public.

The AIG also commended officers and men of the Gombe State Police Command for their efforts in sustaining peace and security across the state and encouraged them to remain steadfast in the discharge of their duties.

In his welcome remarks, the Commissioner of Police, CP Umar Ahmed Chuso, expressed appreciation to the AIG for the visit, describing it as timely and significant to the Command’s operational objectives.

He reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to protecting lives and property and appealed to residents of the state to continue supporting the police with timely and credible information to enhance security and crime prevention efforts.
