ONDO POLICE INTENSIFY ANTI-KIDNAPPING OPERATIONS, ASSURE RESIDENTS OF SAFETY
The Ondo State Police Command has intensified efforts to combat kidnapping and other criminal activities across the state, assuring residents of enhanced security and protection of lives and property.
The new Commissioner of Police, Felix Ohagwu, gave the assurance during an interactive session with journalists in Akure, where he outlined ongoing security measures aimed at addressing rising concerns over insecurity.
Ohagwu said the Command remains fully committed to safeguarding lives and property, stressing that proactive policing strategies and intelligence-led operations are being deployed to curb criminal activities in the state.
He also disclosed that adequate security arrangements have been put in place ahead of the forthcoming Ondo South Senatorial bye-election scheduled for June 20, in order to ensure a peaceful and credible electoral process.
The police commissioner urged residents to remain calm, vigilant and cooperate with security agencies by providing timely information that could aid crime prevention efforts.
He reaffirmed the Command’s determination to sustain pressure on criminal elements and ensure the safety of all communities across Ondo State.
